Free scrap metal pickup is available for residents in the Greater Grand Rapids Area. Sign up before the applicable deadline and place approved scrap metal items in your driveway by 7:00 AM on your scheduled pickup day.

How Scrap Metal Pickup Works

Available Pickup Dates

Our free scrap metal pickup is available on two pickup days only. To join the pickup route, complete the signup form before the applicable deadline and place your approved scrap metal items in your driveway by 7:00 AM on your scheduled pickup day.

Scrap Pickup Guidelines

• Greater Grand Rapids Area only

• Scrap must be in the driveway by 7 AM

• No entry into backyards, homes, or garages

• Must include one major appliance or a truck-bed load

Important Information

• Deadlines: Sign up by July 1st at 4 PM for the July 2nd pickup, or July 5th at 4 PM for the July 6th pickup,

• Acceptable Items: Appliances, Lawn & Garden (mowers, grills, etc.), Automotive (batteries, rims), and Construction (copper, aluminum, electrical wires).

• Prohibited Items: Non-metal dominant items (TVs, e-waste, furniture) and hazardous materials (paint, tires, chemicals).
